Steel Dust People
Building and operating an industrial facility
from scratch -- especially one that runs 24/7/365 --
requires a team of people that are both skilled and
dedicated. Every Steel Dust employee knows
their job and how it fits into a smooth-running
operation. And they believe in what we do:
take a hazardous compound out of America's
industrial waste stream and "mine" it for valuable
metals. Steel Dust Recycling thanks the team for
their incredibly hard work and wonderful
dependability. Without our employees, and their
families supporting them, start-up would not have
been nearly as fast, and operations would not run as
smoothly.
SDR Family Day, Fall 2008
Special correspondent Sonya Price (also known as SDR's office manager) reports on the company's first
Family Day, October 11, 2008:
This was the first opportunity for many employees’
families to see the plant first-hand and meet the
management team. It was also an opportunity for the
families to meet each other. SDR's major vendors
supplied door prizes for the drawing, and every
family was able to receive a prize. The children
played on inflatable obstacle courses and slides, as
well as with footballs and frisbees on the front
lawn. We had hot dogs and hamburgers picnic style,
catered by a local restaurant. The day was fun with
much participation from the employees and their
families. These snapshots tell the story:
